We've paid our deposit, the flights are booked and all the volunteer spots are full!
Come March 22nd we will be meeting our host family and March 23rd we start working! We will be staying in the city of Antigua, which is about 1 hour west of Guatemala City. We don't know where we will be building, but it will be within a 30-45 minute drive of Antigua.
We will be building along side the host family, with 10 other volunteers. The volunteers will spending most of our time together, working, eating and socializing together for 10 days.
Prior to the HFH volunteer opportunity, we will be spending a little less than a week in Antigua. We may take some spanish classes and do some touring of the area, but plans are not set, we will be spending some time with my very good friend Kim! Kim was talking about going to Antigua to take spanish lessons, then our HFH experience is in Antigua! Good timing:)
